Hey, hey! As you may already know, I am all about making life easier (both in and out of the kitchen). And while I make mannnnyyyy things homemade, I also rely heavily on clean versions of store-bought goods to add flavor & save time.
So today I’m bringing you my favorite go-to condiments that I have on hand nearly all the time. And I’m being up front by saying that there are zero affiliate links in this email so you know these are genuine favorites of mine.
My Top 5 (Store-bought) Condiments
1. Sir Kensington’s Spiced Ketchup
Why? So flavorful and just the right amount of mild spiciness.
Used for: parsnip french fries, smeared on a bunless burger, mixed with mayo for “fry sauce”
Best price: Amazon
2. Chosen Foods Avocado Oil Mayo
Why? It’s been a favorite since I trying it early on. Preferred over Primal Kitchen due to its mild flavor.
Used for: tuna salad, homemade ranch, mixed with horsradish over steak, and much more
Best price: Chosen Foods — double pack (no other option yet)
3. Mina Harissa
Why? The robust, unique red pepper flavor.
Used for: topping over warm meat, mixed in with curries & soups, blended with evoo for salad dressing
Best price: Mina’s Website
Why? Saves time over homemade & all are made with olive oil. Favorites are Lemon Garlic or Balsamic. Tip: dilute with more EVOO to stretch it further.
Used for: topping over warm meat, salads (obvs), blended with mayo for flavored aioli
Best price: Safeway/Vonn’s/Randalls (seen for as low as $3.49 on sale)
5. The Date Lady Vegan Caramel Sauce
Why? For fun! Homemade vegan caramel sauce is a paaaaiiiinnn. This tastes almost exactly like caramel but it’s made with dates! And all natural flavors used are naturally derived, gluten-free, and non-gmo.
Used for: smearing over banana & almond butter, drizzled over ice cream or waffles, eaten straight from the jar
Best price: Amazon (slightly more at most Whole Foods locations)
